GTE Featured in Shanghai Daily on Digital Collectibles
On August 10, 2022, GTE Managing Director Kevin Chen spoke to Shanghai Daily about the use of digital collectibles in brand communications.
Chen noted that digital collectibles are reshaping brand marketing, with companies exploring metaverse-based engagement with consumers and enterprise users.
“Every communication and marketing person I know is talking about digital collectibles,” Chen told Shanghai Daily.
Launched in 2021, GTE’s Jiyi digital collectible solution provides issuance and distribution services for enterprise clients. It has passed compliance audits and procurement at multiple Fortune Global 100 companies and is used in brand communications.
About GTE digital collectibles
- Issuance: Images, audio, or video are digitized and recorded on blockchain as unique digital assets. Each collectible carries a unique serial number and is immutable, indivisible, and non-interchangeable.
- Distribution: Users obtain collectibles through Jiyi and can link a username, avatar, or verified personal details to the asset on blockchain.
- Jiyi collectibles cannot be resold or transferred. They are designed for collecting and sharing among acquaintances. Users can store collectibles locally and verify their digital certificates online. Brands use them for gifting and points-redemption campaigns.
